| Gunter Schutzenhofer Gunter Schutzenhofer born in Mödling near Vienna in 1965. He has been living in the House of Artists since 1999, where he is presently the youngest of the lot. When Schutzenhofer first began to produce art, he made mostly small formatted drawings with gray or color pencils, but more recently he has developed a preference for larger sheets. First Schutzenhofer ponders in detail on what he is going to draw, then he executes his decision slowly and precisely. His stroke is gentle but decisive - well premeditated. Once he has determined the outer shape of his object, he will fill it in with many lines packed closely next to each other. His themes are widely varied, and if he sometimes does make multiple drawings of the same animal, it will look different each time. |
